Beyond Basics: Cabled Scarf (Knitting)

This quick crash course will show you how to cable like a pro, while starting a bulky cabled scarf.

One 2-hour class

• refresh your knowledge of the rib stitch
• create reversible cables
• read cable charts

Materials:

• Approximately 220 yards of super chunky yarn. We recommend 3 skeins of Mrs Moon Plump Superchunky
• US#17 (12.75 mm) needles
• Cable needle
• Copy of Wavy Cable Scarf, available for free at the shop!

Homework:

Please arrive to class with the pattern started. Cast on 24 sts. Work three rows as follows: K2, P2, to set double rib. Repeat to end.
